The day was made even sweeter by another win for the A Grade. It was great persistence by the A Grade to win convincingly over Golden Grove.

It was Super Saturday up at Houghton Memorial Oval.
Two milestones, a junior exhibition game and Quiz Night! And to top it off, two wins!
The Reserves were greeted by a determined Mitchell Park. But they quickly turned up the dial for Dave Keetch's 250th and Andrew Roger's 100th game. With eleven goal scorers to share the goods, the Reserves were relentless, posting their thirteenth consecutive win.

The Lil Raiders and Lil Hawkers took to the ground for the second junior exhibition game of the season. HDFC is very proud of the Lil Raiders and how far they've come in their first season together. With only a few games left, we look forward to planning for Junior Raiders in 2019 and beyond. A big thanks to the Lil Hawkers and their families for coming along to support our exhibition games this season. We hope to continue the newly founded tradition next year.
The A Grade were determined to notch up their fifth win of the season. Mitchell Park proved to be a worthy competitor and yet again, the game came down to the wire. The Raiders managed to hold on in the final minutes of the game to celebrate an overdue win.

HDFCs Annual Quiz Night was a huge success, with almost 100 quiz nerds packing the club rooms to the rafters. A huge thanks to everyone that came along for the Club's biggest fundraiser of the year - your support is what keeps us going!

Houghton Raiders vs Mitchell Park @ HOME, Saturday 7th July
To kick off the day, the Reserves game will get underway at the earlier time of 11:45am and we'll be celebrating not one, but two mega milestones!
HDFC Football Director and former A Grade Captain, Dave Keetch, will play his 250th game for the Club, and Vice President, Andrew Rogers, will play his 100th game for the Club. Well done, gents! Your unwavering passion for and dedication to the Club speaks volumes of your characters, and we couldn't be more proud to have you immortalised in our Club's history.
The earlier start time for the Reserves makes way for a Junior Exhibition game with the Lil Raiders taking on the Lil Hawkers straight after the Reserves game. Come along and support the kids!
And finally, the Club's biggest fundraiser of the year is here! HDFCs Annual Quiz Night! So grab the smartest folk you know and put your brainwaves to the test. 7:30pm start, with plenty happening through the night!
The Raiders travelled to Central United and they knew they were in for a challenge!
The Reserves made hard work of it, whilst Central United didn't make it easy. Hendo made an appearance on the field, even scoring himself a goal. Perhaps it was his fortitude in the final quarter that steered them to victory, and in the end, the Raiders got their twelfth consecutive win.

The A Grade surprised everyone, getting off to a gallant start. The Raiders showed some absolute brilliance and proved they are worthy competitors. They weren't able to hold on and succumbed to Central United's persistence, going down by four goals.
