HDFCs Annual General Meeting, Thursday 25 October, 7pm sharp. The following Committee Positions will be open for nomination: - President - Vice President - Secretary - Treasurer - General Member This year, we will be welcoming members from our Junior contingent onto our Club Committee. They will form a Junior Sub-Committee under the overarching Club Committee. If you would like to nominate prior to the evening, please contact Secretary, Jack Becher, or President, Mel Keetch. In addition, the HDFC Executive have revised the Club's Constitution which will be tendered at the AGM for approval by the Members.

Well done to the Reserves for going undefeated in the minor rounds of Season 2018! Despite the conditions, the Reserves still managed to post a convincing win against their opposition. Final Score: Houghton Districts: 7.5 47 Marion: 0.1 1 The A Grade season came to an end on 11 August. Well done to the lads who have put in their all during the season. We're extremely proud of how you've conducted yourselves this year. You are a remarkable collective of young men and it's because of you that our Club is the great place it is. It is with absolute pleasure that the HDFC Executive Committee announces the reappointments of Ian Henderson as Reserves Coach and Matthew Jones as Senior Coach for Season 2019.
2018 has been a year of growth for HDFC, with a contingent of new faces added to our Senior squad and an inaugural Juniors team. Hendo and MJ will continue to execute the Club's development plans for sustainable growth and success. Congratulations, gents! Round 17 saw the Raiders take on old rivals, Tea Tree Gully, at home.
After a tight tussle during their first encounter in Round 8, the Reserves were determined to get a stronghold on the game early. That they did, and with Freddy Taylor on fire in the forward, the Reserves came out convincing winners. Final Score: Houghton Districts: 17.8 110 Tea Tree Gully: 5.1 31 Best Players: F. Taylor, J. Kuhar, J. Dwyer, D. Donovan, R. Glanville The A Grade were keen to not let their season get the better of them. The A Grade held on for the first half, but a classy Tea Tree Gully outfit showed just why they were in finals contention, steaming away in the fourth quarter. Final Score: Houghton Districts: 7.6 48 Tea Tree Gully: 14.11 95 Best Players: C. Schutz, R. Austin, J. Davis, L. Rayson, N. Hall For our final minor round at home this weekend, we are recognizing our partnership with beyondblue.

For us at HDFC, mental health is a topic close to our hearts. We firmly believe that the ideals of an amateur sporting club should be centered on providing a positive and inclusive social environment for people of all ages and backgrounds. The Raiders headed to Mawson Lakes for the return leg of the joint Club fundraiser for Cystic Fibrosis. It was an unusually warm start to the day, with the Reserves rightly tested by a determined Mawson Lakes outfit. In the end, the Reserves hung on to take the two points, making it 16 consecutive wins.

Birch The A Grade was determined to not let the final stages of the season get the better of them. They fought hard but couldn't quite tip the game in their favour, going down by three goals.
